Project Jake is developing a Framework and Model for expressing collection and disclosure policies. This work has been under development for two years and embodies the results dozens of interviews. The model is detailed, with a separate set of attributes for each data element.
The Results So Far:
Data Dictionary
- The initial data dictionary used by Project Jake has been submitted to the IETF for community development and adoption. See draft-ietf-regext-datadictionary.
Rules Normalization and Application service
- ERI has developed the initial web-based policy comparison tool called the Rules Normalization and Application (RNA). This tool allows for expressing and comparing policies, checking consistency, and illustrating effects of policy changes.
